Event: Campfire Story Session
Description: For our kick-off event, students, patrons, artists, and members of the public will gather to share folklore stories in a spooky setting hosted Missy Barron & The Frame Gallery in Downtown Bryan. Representatives from “Group Performance Project” Groups (PERF 301) will deliver “campfire” versions of their group’s folklore story to thrill and tantalize a captive audience of eager listeners.

LoreFest Night Two
Event: Film Festival
Description: For our second night, “Group Performance Project” Groups (PERF 301) will present their silent, black & white, short films (~5 minutes), followed by the premiere of filmmaker Shun Lee Fong’s Unexpected Amenities. All student films will be accompanied by live soundtracks provided by students from Dr. Will Connor’s ensemble classes (PERF 317, 318, & 381). Fong will lead panel discussions with student filmmakers to discuss their projects and field questions from the audience.

LoreFest Night Three
Event(s): Ghost Walk & LoreFest Gala
Description: For our final night, “Group Performance Project” Groups (PERF 301) performing interactive works, including puppets, theatrical, musical and dance pieces, documentary films, etc., will set-up in conference-like “stations” throughout The Village Café. Audience members will be guided on a “tour” through various stations in repeating cycles; all attendees will have the opportunity to view and/or participate in all exhibited works. The “Ghost Walk” will run concurrently, beginning and ending at the front door of The Village Café. Audience members will be led to all “stops” along the “Ghost Walk” in a broad loop, with each stop “hosted” by a student group (PERF 301), featuring interactive storytelling, visualizations (employing portable projectors), and live soundtracks provided by students from Dr. Connor’s ensemble classes.
